Solomon Islands Scepter, South Malaita, 19th century, cylindrical form with a waisted butt and inlaid with mother-of-pearl and supporting a slender wood shaft terminating in a heavily encrusted ball inset with mother-of-pearl in a star pattern, lg. 19 in.
