Hand-colored steel-engraved map on onionskin paper, hand-outlined, encompassing the east coast, omitting northern Maine and southern Florida, west to Missouri, Arkansas Territory, and Louisiana, with inset details of Albany, New Orleans, Cincinnati, Niagara, Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore & Washington, and Charleston; in the original publisher's gold-tooled red morocco covers, accompanied by the large folding index with steamboat routes, statistical tables, and other information, both folding sheets in good shape, the map 17 3/4 x 22 in.; when folded in covers 5 1/4 x 3 1/4 in.
