Including: Thomas Abthorpe Cooper (1776-1849) autograph letter signed, engaging a principal scene painter and machinist at his New York theatre, framed with portrait; Anna Cora Mowatt Ritchie (1819-1870) autograph letter signed to a Mrs. Clapp, inviting her and Mr. Clapp to come for practice and to take tea, framed with two portraits; Ellen Terry (1847-1928) autograph letter signed to Nigel, thanking him for a letter, sending regrets as she is unable to attend a performance, and inviting him to take a cottage up the street from her in Kent for the summer, framed with a portrait of Terry as Portia in "The Merchant of Venice"; Charlotte Cushman (1816-1876) autograph letter signed, New York, 31 January 1834, arranging business, matted and framed with a cabinet card, engraved portrait of Cushman as Lady Macbeth, and a playbill advertising and October 28, 1893 performance of the Scottish play at the Brooklyn Academy of Music; Joseph Jefferson (1829-1905) two carte-de-visites, a cabinet card, and a pen-and-ink drawing of Jefferson in his role as Rip Van Winkle, with some penciled lines beneath, the four pieces matted and framed together; [and] a Sarony photograph of E.H.
