Carved Oak and Pine Joined Chest, Windsor, Connecticut, area, late 17th century, the pine top opens to a well with compartment, the facade composed of a frieze of intersecting arches above four geometric carved panels bordered with shallow carving, the sides and back further paneled and carved, on stile feet, refinished, the top painted black, ht. 28 1/4, wd. 52, dp. 21 1/2 in.
