William Mc Clement Mourning Pendant, Albany, New York area, c. 1795, the watercolor on ivory mourning scene composed of a central inscribed monument flanked by two women with willow and poplar trees in the background set in a gold mount engraved "In Memory of William McClement who departed this Life June 30th 1795 Aged 27 Years 9 Months & 3 Days," with woven hair on the back, ht. 2 5/8, wd. 2 1/8 in.
Note: Genealogical sources document William Mc Clement as having died at Albany, New York, June 30, 1795.
