Set of Six Federal Horsehair-upholstered Square-back Side Chairs, probably Salem, Massachusetts, c. 1800, the slightly arched molded crests above four flared slats joined by a molded shoe, on tacked overupholstered seats with bowed front rail joining molded square-tapering legs on stretchers, ht. 36 1/2, seat ht. 17 3/4 in.
