U.S. Model 1863 Type II Springfield Rifle Musket, c. 1864, .58 caliber, walnut stock with two crisp cartouche marks, steel fittings, lock marked with an eagle and "U.S./SPRINGFIELD" and dated "1864" on the tail, breech marked on the top flat "1864" and "V/P" over an eagle on the side, barrel lg. 40, overall lg. 56 in.

Stock has a few light dings and nicks, steel parts are excellent, the lock functions properly, and the bore is excellent.
