Remington Model 1863 Percussion Contract Rifle, c. 1863, .58 caliber, walnut stock with two cartouche marks on the left side, brass fittings, lock marked with an eagle and "REMINGTON/ELION, N.Y." and dated "1863" on the tail, breech marked "1863" with "V/P" over an eagle, and "STEEL R.K.A.," barrel lg. 33, overall lg. 49 in.

Stock has a few dings and nicks, the barrel is a dark blue/brown patina with some light scattered pitting on the breech and nipple cone, the lock functions properly, and the bore is good with some pitting about half way down.
