John Hills Flintlock Fowler, c. 1790, bore .58, figured maple stock, brass fittings, buttplate tang engraved "BY, I, HILLS, CHARLOTTE," side plate engraved "JONATHAN PATTERSON," with a silver wrist plate dated "1777," lock plate engraved with foliate designs and "I. HILLS," tapered round barrel with a flat sight plane and a fixed iron rear sight and brass front, with a wooden ramrod, barrel lg. 52, overall lg. 68 in.

In overall very good condition, original flint, lock functions, and about a foot of the front forestock near the muzzle has been replaced.
