U.S. Model 1873 Trapdoor Carbine, c. 1874, .45-55 caliber, serial number 8119, walnut stock (looks to be a replacement) with steel fittings, marked on the trapdoor "MODEL/1873" over an eagle, crossed arrows, and "US," barrel lg. 22, overall lg. 41 1/4 in.

Stock has a few dings and nicks, there is no cleaning rod cutout on the stock but it has no cartouche marks and is probably a replacement, steel is a plum color, the action functions properly, and the bore is bright. Overall in very good condition.
