Mahogany Serpentine Slant-lid Desk, probably Massachusetts, c. 1780-90, lid opens to an interior of drawers and compartments, above a case of four cockbeaded graduated drawers, on a molded ogee bracket base, original brasses, old refinish, (restoration to lid),ht. 43 1/2, wd. 41, dp. 20 1/2 in.

full length patches to lid at bottom edge and to writing surface at front edge, where lid must have broken out - with associated new hinges.
