Unsigned, inscribed "Mrs. E. Barnes" on a gummed label affixed to the stretcher.
Oil on canvas, 30 x 25 in. (76.5 x 63.5 cm),framed.
Condition: Lined, scattered retouch, stable craquelure, minor surface grime.
Estimate $1,000-1,500

The inscription on the label is in ink in a script that suggests an elderly hand. It may say "Baines" instead of "Barnes," but it is somewhat ambiguous.

A detached Boston framer's label has been encapsulated on the back of the frame. Frame dimensions are 37 1/2 x 32 1/2 inches.
