Two Eastern European Icons Depicting the Virgin Mary, one gold and oil on board with incised decoration possibly Poland and, depicting the Black Madonna of Czestochowa, 8 x 6 1/4, in a box frame, the other Russia, gold and polychrome enamels on board, depicting the Virgin with Saints, 7 x 6 in., framed in a Plexiglas case.
Note: The first with handwritten note that it had belonged to Boston School painter Edmund C. Tarbell.
