Monumental 31-inch Armillary Sphere, 20th century, 3-in. dia., gilt paper, twelve-gore sun centering the gimbaled Latin-inscribed-paper graduated rings representing circles on the celestial sphere, meridian, equator, and ecliptic horizon, 1 1/4-in. dia. rotating terrestrial globe, and moon mounted to a ropetwist brass arm, central compass inset in the fluted, urn-shaped, and octagonal stepped base, ht. 48 in.
