Alvan Clark & Sons 4-inch Refractor Telescope, Cambridgeport, Massachusetts, 19th/early 20th century, 49-in. green-painted main tube engraved on ocular collar "Alvan Clark & Sons Co./Cambridgeport Mass.," rack-and-pinion focusing, 12-in. finderscope, and dust cap, mounted on a black-painted and brass equatorial mount with slow-motion setting circles, marked "PAT Jan 3 1899," with counterweight, three astro-eyepieces, nickel-plated star, and solar diagonals, housed in the original fitted wooden case, with original oak tripod.
