Charles F. Helfricht Vernier Compass, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, first half 19th century, 5 1/2-in. dia. engraved silvered dial marked "Charles F. Helfricht/Philadelphia," fleur-de-lis representing north and reading "Warranted," blued needle and central lifter, circular spirit level, outkeeper and vernier reading 60-40-20-20-40-60, housed in its original mahogany case with interior label.
