Gurley High Post Alidades, serial no. 12791 with an 11 1/2-in. scope, trough compass mounts to a 16 x 3-in. blade, case contains plummet, right-angle prism eyepiece, sunshade, screwdriver, and magnifier; the other example also in its fitted box, with compass and provenance from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
