Dated and signed "1934/ANTON OTTO FISCHER" l.r., inscribed "P.74" with title and "Little Brown + Company" in pencil by a later hand on the reverse of frame.
Oil on canvas, 28 x 20 in. (71.1 x 50.8 cm),framed.
Condition: Lined.
Provenance: The estate of Justin L. Cobb III, Massachusetts.
N.B. The work was an illustration for the table of contents in the 1934 print edition of Charles Boardman Hawes' The Dark Frigate.
