Oil on canvas, 15 1/2 x 11 1/4 in. (39.4 x 28.6 cm),framed.
Condition: Craquelure, small scattered areas of retouch.

Framed dimensions: 20 1/2 x 16 1/2 inches. Lined, area of minute paint loss in tree near u.r. edge, see condition photos, inscribed by a later hand on the tape on the back of the frame "from Hirschl and Adler Galleries 15 1/2 x 11 1/4 Dec. 6, 1969" and on the stretcher "A Song of Summer by Samuel Colman/Listed in N.A. exhibition catalogue under that name in 1859 Volume 1 #246 Signed with initials SC in lower left.", these references have not been confirmed.
