Retouch beneath the figure's chin with some small dots of retouch to his face. Horizontal craquelure along the figure's upper lip measuring about 3/4 inch. When examined in raking light, this craquelure appears to form the upper end of what was probably a 3-sided rectangular tear stretching down to his chin, which has been professionally restored. Minor retouch to the background and along the top and bottom edges. Very tiny paint losses to top right and bottom left corners.
Framed dimensions are 30 1/2 x 24 x 1 1/4 inches.
