Dan Poro Society Mask, Liberia, early 20th century, hollowed out, with slit eyes and cutout mouth, two metal disks on the cheeks and white pigment surrounds the eyes, the mask framed by padded indigo-dyed cloth, ht. 10 1/4 in.
Provenance: Bertram and Ruth Malenka collection, Belmont, Massachusetts; purchased from Paul Rabut in 1970.
