Huali Kang Table, China, possibly Guangxu period, rectangular with two out-curved sides, the out-curved paneled legs, decorated with openwork ruyi cloud design, ht. 13 3/8 x 46 in.
Provenance: Malcolm Swenson at Hanover, New Hampshire. Mr. Swenson periodically lived and worked in China from 1974, and many of his furniture collections were featured in the exhibition, Classic Chinese Furniture, jointly organized by Robert Ellsworth (1929-2014) and held in memory of Cui Wei Lian (1935-2004) at the Kimball-Jenkins Estate in 2004.
