Sultanabad Pottery Bowl, Persia, possibly 14th/15th century, decorated with black and lustre glaze, the interior with three phoenixes arranged around a lotus flower and surrounded by scrolling leaves, the exterior with molded lappets glazed with geometric patterns, dia. 8 5/8 in.
Provenance: By repute, purchased from Asfar Bros., Beirut, Lebanon, 1965.
