Diminutive Paint-decorated Pine Blanket Chest, New England, early 19th century, the top with applied molded edge opens to a well with till, and nail-constructed box with demilune cutout ends, old painted surface with simulated crossbanding surrounding black and red swirls on an ochre ground, (imperfections and minor repairs),ht. 21 1/2, wd. 38 1/4, dp. 16 1/2 in.
