Black-painted Ball-foot Chest of Drawers, Connecticut, early 18th century, with molded top over arch-molded case of two short and three long drawers, on turned ball feet, old black paint, ht. 37 1/4, wd. 38 1/4, dp. 20 in.
Provenance: Samuel Wax Collection; purchased from Lillian Cogan, 1983.

The lower molding is replaced and one foot is replaced. there are some imperfections to the backboard. The top is refinished and the black paint is not original.
