Provenance: Sold to benefit the Clark Art Institute, Williamstown, Massachusetts.

There appears to be inpainting in small areas throughout. Evidence of fine craquelure. The painting has a very shiny varnish that makes it difficult to read under the blacklight. Relined long ago.
