Chippendale Camel-back Sofa, probably England, mid to late 18th century, with outward-scrolling arms and molded Marlborough front legs joined by square stretchers to the chamfered raking rear legs, ht. 38, seat ht. 17 1/2, lg. 92 in.
Estimate $1,000-1,500
minor cracks to stretchers, wear to molding on legs, slight lightfading to upholstery. Upholstery prevents an overall inspection of the condition of the frame, but enough was revealed to find beech or oak secondary.
