Large Painted Tin Document Box, America, mid-19th century, the front and sides decorated with broad yellow leaf and flower pattern bordered by a red geometric frieze with green lobes, and red and yellow rope, the lid with wide red and white rope and line border, brass handle on the top, ht. 8 1/4, wd. 13 1/2, dp. 6 3/4 in.

The box is in very good condition. The top has a dent and a couple minor dings. The front panel very is slightly concave. There is only minor paint loss.
