"Ann Jones" Needlework Sampler, England, dated 1776, stitched with four lines of verse and signed within a block at the bottom "Ann Iones her/Work done in/The 11th Year of her/Age 1776" and decorated with Adam and Eve, a pair of houses, flowers and potted plants, deer, crown and "GR," animals and cherubs, all within a meandering flower and vine border, in an early molded and black-painted frame, ht. 16 7/8, wd. 14 1/4 in.
