Needlework-framed Mirror, England, 18th century, the oval mirror plate set in a shaped rectangular japanned frame with needlework background depicting men, women, castles, insects, and coats of arms, ht. 27, wd. 21 in.

The needlework is soiled and has small scattered losses. The inner frame is split at the top and bottom. There are a few shrinkage separations in the exterior frame. The back is secured with later small brass screws. The mirror plate is not original.
