Pair of Louis XVI-style Giltwood Tapestry-upholstered Open Armchairs, probably France, early 20th century, squared back with floral-carved crest rail, padded armrests, turned legs all with geometric carved decoration, upholstery depicting birds and flowers, ht. 39 1/4, seat ht. 18 1/2, wd. 26 1/2, dp. 24 in.

Minor scattered losses to gilt, wear to fabric especially the back of one chair. 19th century French Aubusson upholstery in poor to fair condition; very good color and drawing but considerable wear and breaks.
