Redgrave, with an extensive note in his hand and bookplate; ex libris Louis Kossuth Comstock, with bookplate; extensive contemporary marginalia on free endleaves, front and back, including a long note on verso of title in a contemporary hand regarding the martyrdom of the London Carthusian monks between 1535 and 1537 under Henry VIII, and notes in the New Testament; bound in original boards, no original leather remaining, rebacked in a half-leather binding, catches and clasps intact, 14 x 9 7/8 in.
