Mark Del Guidice Furniture "As Luck Would Have It" Jewelry Box on Stand, Concord, Massachusetts, 2001, curly maple, white oak, basswood, glass, and leather, inspired by a green amulet worn by Egyptians as a good-luck charm, Morse code reads: "As luck would have it," (W. Shakespeare, The Merry Wives of Windsor), ht. 46, wd. 18, dp. 11 in.

Note: Mark Del Guidice has maintained a woodworking studio just outside of Boston for the last 28 years, making one-of-a-kind and limited production furniture. A graduate of the Program in Artisanry at Boston University, Del Guidice has developed his furniture style by combining fine woods with carved and painted surfaces that highlight his signature hieroglyphs.
