Note: This mahogany library table with Richardsonian carving on the legs was made around 1890. Historic New England owns the original design drawing by the company's designer Francis Bacon. The piece represents an iconic design of the A. H. Davenport Company which was one of the nation's leading producers of high-end furniture, with a clientele that included leading architects and wealthy industrialists.
