Italian Violin and Bow, Eugenio Praga, Genoa, 1892, the violin labeled EUGENIO PRAGA/Premiato con Medaglia/D'ORO/Fece in Genova anno 1892, the bridge stamped E.PRAGA.GENOVA, length of back 356 mm, the silver-mounted bow stamped E.PRAGA GENOVA, weight 49.7 grams, (with original tinsel wrap, and without hair),with case and handwritten note reading "This is a genuine Praga Violin, brought from Italy by D.B. Martinelli June 1892. I value it at $75.00. Jas. J. Moloney."
