Carved Mahogany and Mahogany Veneer Ebonized and Gilt-stenciled Chamber Table, attributed to Alexander Kinnan and States Mead, New York, c. 1820-25, the hinged lid opens above a top with two circular fittings for washbasins, above recessed cupboard doors below flanked by Ionic columns continuing to square pedestals and turned legs below, dramatic classical decoration incorporating wide ebonized borders and wide gilt striping all ornamented with finely gilt-stenciled leafage and fruit motifs, (imperfections),ht. 38, wd. 36, dp. 22 in.
