Signed "Doyle/1806" l.l., paper label on the backing inscribed "The mother of/Martha Ann Turner May/M.A.T. was born in Richmond, VA/1824/Died at Rock Hill Medford/1847."
Pastel on paper, 31 x 25 in., in a molded gilt-gesso frame.
Condition: Light soiling.
