Set of Ten Cherry Rush-seat Dining Chairs, New England, early 19th century, with shaped crest rails, pierced splats, and trapezoidal rushed slip seats, ht. 38 1/4, seat ht. 17 1/4 in.

no evidence of any major repairs or restorations, though there are varied imperfections throughout - some sunbleaching to a couple of chairs, some damage to some of the rush seats (one may be in need of repair sooner than others),chips to legs and minorr cracks to seat rails and splat shoes, some old adhesive residue to some back legs. The chairs are sturdy and usable.
