Description:

Red-painted Six-board Chest, reportedly Cape Cod, early 19th century, the top not hinged but with tabs at back edge which fit into corresponding holes in the backboard, above a well with open till, and applied shaped front foot facings and demilune ends, old surface, (imperfections), ht. 25 1/4, wd. 43 1/4, dp. 17 1/2 in.
