appears to be in good structural condition, free from any major replacements or repairs. It is rather sturdy. The earlier leather "seat" is well worn, and there is an accompanying upholstered piece of plywood which lays over the whole structure. The outside edge of the frame was once overupholstered, and is no longer. The chain on which the back adjusts is replaced. The painted surface is pleasingly dry and rather old.
