Enamel and Diamond Plaque Brooch, c. 1925, converted from a buckle, centering an old European-cut diamond weighing approx. 1.50 cts., with bow and garland motifs set with old European-, old mine-, old single-, and rose-cut diamonds, on guilloche enamel ground, 3 1/8 x 2 1/8 in.

Reverse inscribed
"To the glory of God
and in loving memory
of John Schureman Sutphen
Oct. 23-1866-May 23-1925."
One melee missing. Later pinstem, evidence of prior findings. Light scratches to reverse.
Diamond is lively, clean under magnification. Cannot be graded due to mounted condition.
