Oil on canvas, 20 x 30 in. (51.0 x 76.0 cm),in a period frame.
Condition: Minor craquelure.
Provenance: Property from the estate of A. Margaret Bok, Rockport, Maine.

Framed dimensions 24 1/8 x 34 in. With a label from Edward Side Galleries, Philadelphia, affixed to the back of the frame. The stretcher is also inscribed "Bush 22 East 17th Street, N.Y." in pencil to the right of the title but in a different hand.
Canvas with a prominent stencil from Victor Claessens, Waereghem, Belgique/Made in Belgium" on the reverse. Victor Claessens founded a company to produce top-quality artist's canvas in 1906. The family-owned company is still operating in the original buildings in Waregem in West Flanders.
Minor stable craqueleur. Unlined. Minor surface grime to top right.
