Yachting Photography: Two Photo Books of Private Cruises. Including: The First Cruise of the Aztec, owned by Albert C. Burrage, a photo album chronicling a trip that began in New York City on August 7, 1902; with a stop at Coney Island; a cruise past Whitestone, Long Island; through the Sound and around Cape Cod, a visit to Martha's Vineyard, another to Marblehead, ending in Cohasset on August 13th; the album containing approximately fifty-six black-and-white photographs of the trip, with interesting views of Coney Island, Vineyard Haven, and Marblehead, in addition to images of the Aztec itself, and other vessels, each photo captioned, the album 12 x 10 in. overall, photo sizes vary, paper of album pages is crumbling, in need of restoration; [and] an oblong octavo photo album depicting a pleasure cruise of the three-masted auxiliary steam yacht Utowana owned by Allison V. Armour (1863-1941) signed and inscribed by Armour to K.J. M[ott] on March 18, 1909 on ffep, the approximately eighty images include many shots taken of the guests on board, land visits, and other vessels, including sailing and racing off Cannes, stops in Kiel, Elsinore, Holland, Dover, Trinkel, and other places, leather boards, aeg, spine taped, 7 1/2 x 4 3/4 in.
