Persian Manuscript on Paper, Yusuf and Zulaikha, or Joseph and Potiphar's Wife, Early 19th Century. Narrow octavo-format manuscript on polished paper, containing an elaborate double-page illuminated title decorated in gold and black with minute flowers and large borders; each page within a gilt border, bound in contemporary lacquer boards, outer boards painted with large floral displays, inner boards with single paper white narcissus plants, leather spine, front board detached, outer boards darkened and chipped.
