Truman, Harry (1884-1972) Typed Letter Signed, 18 February 1939. Single leaf of U.S. Senate letterhead, to Rear Admiral Leo Otis Colbert (1883-1968), Director of the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey, working under the Department of Commerce (1915-1929), expressing regret that they missed one another, and that they were unable to discuss the "Mississippi River trip over again," with original folds, good condition, 10 1/2 x 8 in.
