Large San Ildefonso Black-on-black Pottery Olla, signed on the base "Marie & Julian," tall vessel, finely painted in matte reverse against a highly polished ground, with a frieze enclosing an undulating serpent Avanyu, its crested head spewing lightning, the tall neck with feather motifs below a band of tall triangles, (broken and repairs at the neck, with some loss, surface rubbing),ht. 16 1/4 in.
