Description:

Southwest Polychrome Pottery Seed Jar, Pollaca, Hopi, late 19th century, painted in black and red-brown on cream ground, decorated with abstract designs and crosses beneath a black painted rim, (large chip, overall craquelure), ht. 4 1/4, dia. 8 in.
Estimate $800-1,200

Overall craquelure in the paint. A large chip out of the side is evident. Minor rubbing and abrasions on the surface. Rim has minor rubbing.
