Wedgwood & Bentley Black Basalt Vase and Cover, England, c. 1775, scrolled handles and sibyl finial, raised oval medallion of Sacrifice to Aesculapius above husk swags, impressed circular mark, ht. 12 in.

 Cover: Chip to edge of head covering; figure broken through and simply glued; 3/4" chip to rim. 
 Vase: Nick to shoulder rim; chips at two corners of plinth.
