Wedgwood Black Basalt Egyptian Club Jug, England, c. 1854, iron red, white, and black enamel encaustic-type decoration with stylized sphinx flanking a central bird in flight, sold only by Woollard & Hattersley, Cambridge, impressed mark, ht. 7 1/2 in.
