Pair of Wedgwood Black Basalt Sphinx Candleholders, England, 19th century, each mounted with a candle nozzle, impressed mark, lg. 5 7/8 in.

One sphinx: nozzle restored at stem; nozzle with three rim chips; plinth edges with scattered chips.
One sphinx: edge chips to plinth.
